An eminently jammable stateside debut from this NZ noise-pop project. Collected from a range of small-imprint releases in New Zealand, "Anthology" is a fuzzed-out flyover of 90's tinged songcraft and tape experimentation. From the basement pop-stomp of "Good Time" to the searing guitar work on "Rabbit", this release captures the undeniable vibes of rock music done very, very right. Perfect for summer.

A half hour of mesmerizing and beautiful fingerstyle guitar from Chicago's Johnny Young. 'II' is as at home in Harry Smith's 'old weird America' as it is in early 60's Takoma Park. Young's playing is rich in Fahey-esque technique that lends itself to meditative listening sessions, a pastoral escape from the waves of juddering internet nonsense that wash over so many other hours.
